# Catwifhat Intro

## About $CWIF

The Catwifhat community is on a mission to bring deflationary token economics to the world of memecoins! Solana introduced its auto-burn feature for projects in 2023, and shortly afterward, $CWIF was introduced to the Solana meme scene. Since Catwifhat’s introduction in December 2023, it has become the longest-standing auto-burn meme on the Solana blockchain.

## About The Burn

$CWIF’s auto-burn involves a 4% burn fee applied to every on-chain transaction. This means every DEX buy, every DEX sell, and every wallet transfer experiences a 4% tax. The auto-burn feature was created as a deflationary measure to reduce the supply of $CWIF over time.

While many cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Solana increase their supplies over time to reward block production and validation, $CWIF’s auto-burn mechanism reduces the supply as more transactions occur. As a result, each holder's percentage of the circulating supply increases over time with every on-chain transaction.

As Solana gained a reputation in 2024 for having some of the highest DEX volumes, the Catwifhat community holds on proudly to their $CWIF, knowing that 4% continues to burn from every single DEX swap and wallet transfer. Since all contract authorities were revoked on day one of the project, the burn will continue eternally as long as the Solana blockchain operates, ensuring a truly decentralized and immutable deflationary mechanism.
